JSW Greentech completed Ampstar electric commercial vehicle plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

JSW Greentech Limited (JSW Group) said it has invested ₹2,500 crore to set up an electric commercial vehicle manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, with installed capacity of 15,000 vehicles per year. The company stated the 90-acre plant has been completed in 16 months, and production of electric trucks and buses under the Ampstar brand is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
Why it matters
A completed plant with stated annual capacity, once production starts, adds domestic manufacturing capability for electric trucks and buses and related battery/vehicle systems.
