ReNew Wind Energy signs MoU with Maharashtra for proposed 750 MW data centre park in MMR

ReNew Wind Energy Private Limited (ReNew subsidiary) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to develop a proposed ₹70,000 crore Green Integrated Data Centre Park in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The project is planned at 750 MW capacity across locations including Panvel, Khalapur, Taloja and Bhokharpada, with phased development expected to commence from 2028 and an expected 51% green power use for operations.
Why it matters
If executed, the project would add large-scale data centre capacity in the MMR with dedicated power infrastructure and partial renewable-energy sourcing.
