UIDAI launched Face Auth SDK and Sandbox for integrating Aadhaar face authentication

UIDAI launched “Face Auth SDK & Sandbox”, a software development kit and testing environment to help developers integrate Aadhaar face authentication into apps and other digital services. The tools were unveiled at Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai, and are intended to let developers build and test integrations in a controlled sandbox before rollout.
Why it matters
By reducing the technical effort and time needed to implement Aadhaar face authentication, the SDK and sandbox can speed adoption of face-based digital identity verification across services such as customer verification and onboarding.
