Mahindra moves to take possession of ~800 acres for greenfield plant at Additional Butibori, Nagpur

Mahindra & Mahindra is moving towards taking possession of the first package of approximately 800 acres for its planned integrated automobile and tractor manufacturing facility at Additional Butibori in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The greenfield project was announced earlier in 2026 and is planned across 1,500 acres, with an additional 150-acre supplier park planned in Sambhajinagar.
Why it matters
Securing land is a concrete step that enables site development to proceed for a new large vehicle-and-tractor manufacturing capacity in Vidarbha, along with related supplier and skilling plans.
