Reliance Jio launched JioPC as a standalone subscription service, expanding access beyond JioHome broadband customers to anyone with an internet connection. The cloud-based offering is sold online with plans starting at ₹1,000 and includes a standard tier (8GB RAM, 500GB storage) and an Ultra tier (16GB RAM, 1TB storage).
Why it matters
Making the service available across internet providers can extend the usable life of older PCs by providing cloud-based compute and storage without new hardware purchases.
