Fertiliser sale pilot linking purchases to land records expanded to 56 districts in 22 states

India’s fertiliser ministry said it is broadening a national digital platform that tracks fertiliser from production to retail sale by adding tools to link fertiliser purchases with farmers’ land records and to monitor subsidy payments more closely. As of July 31, a pilot is running in 56 districts across 22 states, with a stated target to cover 80 districts; any pan-India rollout will be decided later based on states’ views and stakeholder agreement.
