MeitY approved 31 electronics component manufacturing projects worth ₹6,844 Cr under ECMS

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) approved 31 new applications under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) with cumulative investment of ₹6,844 Cr, and cleared an additional ₹1,033 Cr capacity expansion for existing beneficiary Wipro Global (total fresh clearances ₹7,877 Cr). With these clearances, the scheme has approved 106 applications over its lifetime and the new approvals are stated to aim at creating 9,588 jobs across 10 states.
