India amended Medical Devices Rules to require outsourced sterilisation licence number on labels

India’s health ministry issued a notification on 2026-08-14 amending the Medical Devices Rules, 2017 to require manufacturers that outsource sterilisation to a licensed facility to print that facility’s licence number on the device label.
