Bairabi–Sairang rail line carried 5.54 lakh passengers in its first year

A PIB statement said the 51.38-km Bairabi–Sairang railway line and Sairang station (inaugurated on 2025-09-13) completed over 1,100 train trips and handled more than 5.54 lakh passenger movements in its first year. The statement also said more than 2,500 freight wagons reached Sairang over the year, including cement, construction materials, rice, fertiliser and automobiles.
