First Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train system testing coach reported ready

ET Infra, citing ANI, reported that the first coach built for testing India’s Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) system is ready. The same report said the Surat–Bilimora section is targeted for commissioning in 2027, and civil construction on the Vapi–Surat section is expected to be completed by December.
Why it matters
Having a dedicated testing coach ready is a prerequisite for system integration and trial runs needed before any section of the corridor can be commissioned for passenger service.
