Nagaland signs PPA to develop a 20 MW private-sector solar plant at Tizit

Nagaland’s Department of Power signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Tvaksas Renewable Private Limited to develop a 20 MW solar power plant at Lapa Lampong village near Tizit in Mon district. The project’s tariff of ₹4.12/kWh was approved by the Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission, and the plant is expected to be commissioned within 20 months.
Why it matters
If commissioned as planned, the project would add local renewable generation to Nagaland’s grid and reduce reliance on imported power.
