IRCTC deactivated 3.04 crore user IDs and suspended 6.33 crore for suspicious activity

IRCTC said on September 11, 2026 that it has deactivated 3.04 crore user IDs and suspended 6.33 crore IDs citing suspicious activity, requiring account holders to verify authenticity before booking tickets. IRCTC also said it has blocked 16,041 suspicious email domains and filed 592 complaints on the Cyber Crime Portal covering 4.21 lakh suspicious PNR numbers as part of its anti-touting crackdown.
