NHAI invited EoI to develop next-generation 1033 National Highway helpline

NHAI said it plans to upgrade its 1033 National Highway helpline using technologies such as AI, real-time location tracking and smart emergency-response systems. Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL), promoted by NHAI, has invited an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the development, design, deployment, operation and maintenance of the next-generation 1033 helpline and call centre.
Why it matters
Issuing an EoI is a concrete step toward procuring and deploying upgraded emergency assistance and dispatch capabilities for National Highway users at scale.
