Agnikul Cosmos inaugurated STIF and PROOF units at its Chennai assembly & testing facility
Agnikul Cosmos inaugurated two new units at its Assembly & Testing Facility in Chennai: the Stage Testing & Inspection Facility (STIF) and the Pressurant Tank Realization, Over-wrapping and Outfitting Facility (PROOF). The article says STIF enables in-house testing of reusable rocket stages under flight-like conditions and supports post-flight inspection and requalification, while PROOF enables in-house manufacturing of pressure vessels at a stated capacity of more than 10 vessels per month (up to 3,500 litres and 350 bar).
These facilities expand Agnikul’s in-house testing and manufacturing capability for reusable stages and pressure vessels, which can shorten iteration cycles and reduce dependence on external suppliers for key rocket components.
