Apollo Cancer Centres, Vanagaram (Chennai) launched 'Apollo Nambikkai', a cancer survivorship support community for cancer survivors and caregivers, according to a press release reported by The Hindu. The initiative includes a dedicated WhatsApp community and is intended to initially serve the Vanagaram centre and later be open across Apollo Cancer Centres units.
Why it matters
It creates an organised post-treatment support channel (including expert sessions and psychological well-being support) intended to help survivors and caregivers stay connected after active treatment ends.
