Bodhan AI launched four open-weight Indian-language foundation models for education

Bodhan AI, a Centre of Excellence in AI for Education incubated at IIT Madras, launched four foundational Indian-language AI models covering speech recognition, speech generation, machine translation and OCR. The models are released as Digital Public Goods via open weights and through hosted APIs on a sovereign Digital Public Infrastructure, and Bodhan AI also launched Student TutorBot and Teacher Assistant Bot that use these capabilities.
