2,390 gram panchayats in Tamil Nadu declared tuberculosis-free for 2025

After verification under the national framework, Tamil Nadu declared 2,390 gram panchayats tuberculosis-free for the year 2025. The panchayats were felicitated in their respective districts, and the declaration followed criteria including TB screening targets, a TB notification rate of one or fewer per 1,000 population, and ≥90% treatment success among notified drug-sensitive TB patients.
