Tamil Nadu gave in-principle approval for new Assembly-Secretariat complex at Pattinapakkam

Tamil Nadu issued a government order giving in-principle approval to initiate construction of a new Legislative Assembly and Secretariat complex at Pattinapakkam (Foreshore Estate) in Chennai on 25.55 acres. The order also directed the Public Works Department to submit a detailed project report (DPR) with estimates within three months and constituted committees to select architectural consultancy and finalise designs.
