Tamil Nadu issued order allocating ₹812 crore for Annan Seer marriage assistance scheme

The Tamil Nadu government issued a government order allocating ₹812 crore (first phase) for the Annan Seer scheme, under which eligible brides will be given eight grams of gold and a silk saree. The order says marriages taking place on or after the date of the order are covered, with applications to be received online; detailed implementation guidelines will be issued separately.
