Tamil Nadu sanctioned ‘Vetri 150’ to add 25 workdays for vulnerable rural households

Tamil Nadu issued an administrative sanction and a ₹100 crore financial sanction for 2026-27 to implement ‘Vetri 150’, a State-funded scheme that provides an additional 25 days of employment to vulnerable registered rural households after they complete 125 days under VB-G RAM G.
Why it matters
This increases the guaranteed employment entitlement for specified vulnerable rural households in Tamil Nadu to 150 days in a financial year, expanding income support beyond the existing programme limit.
