India approved third and fourth rail lines on the 90 km Gummidipoondi–Gudur stretch

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved construction of third and fourth railway lines on the ~90 km Gummidipoondi–Gudur stretch at a cost of about ₹2,229 crore, as part of the Howrah–Chennai corridor. The article also says Indian Railways is expanding high-density routes toward four-line capacity through a mix of existing four-line stretches, sanctioned works and sections where DPRs are under preparation or appraisal.
