VO Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to appoint a consultant to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a proposed ~2,500-acre greenfield shipbuilding cluster near Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The article says VOCPA and SIPCOT have formed an SPV—National Shipbuilding & Heavy Industries Park Tamil Nadu Ltd (NSHIPTN)—to establish the cluster in the vicinity of VOC Port.
