TP Solar reports 1 GW module and 0.9 GW cell output in Q2 FY27 from Tirunelveli plant

TP Solar (Tata Power’s solar manufacturing arm) said it produced 1 GW of solar modules and 0.9 GW of solar cells in Q2 FY27. In an exchange filing, the company said cumulative output for April–September 2026 reached 2 GW of modules and 1.8 GW of cells from its 4.3 GW manufacturing unit in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.
Why it matters
Higher domestic cell-and-module output can increase availability of India-made solar components for project developers and procurement requirements such as DCR/ALMM-compliant sourcing.
