NHAI restored two-way traffic movement around Green Circle roundabout in Vellore

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) reopened the carriageway for regular two-way traffic around Green Circle, a roundabout under the Chennai–Bengaluru NH 48 elevated corridor in Vellore, after completing underground work for the second and final phase of a ₹7.50-crore subway project. Traffic restrictions and diversions that had been in place since July 12 were removed with the restoration.
Why it matters
Restoring normal traffic flow reduces waiting time and detours for vehicles and is intended to improve safety at a location identified as accident-prone.
