AERA sets Hyderabad airport UDF for arriving passengers, effective 1 Sep 2026

India’s airport tariff regulator AERA issued an order on 24 Aug 2026 setting a user development fee (UDF) for passengers arriving at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, to be applied for the first time at the airport. Revised UDF charges apply to tickets issued on or after 1 Sep 2026, including ₹220 for domestic arrivals and ₹440 for international arrivals, while departure UDF rates were reduced.
Why it matters
This changes how Hyderabad airport’s infrastructure costs are recovered by spreading charges across both arriving and departing passengers, affecting air ticket pricing from September 2026.
