C&D waste transfer station inaugurated at Gowlidoddi in western Hyderabad

A Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste transfer station was inaugurated at Gowlidoddi in Serilingampally Zone of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), Hyderabad, on August 17, 2026. The facility, established by Re Sustainability, will act as a collection and aggregation point for C&D waste from areas including Narsingi, Nallagandla, Gachibowli and Madhapur, complementing the existing C&D waste processing facility at Jeedimetla.
Why it matters
A nearer transfer point can reduce illegal dumping and improve the efficiency of collecting and routing construction debris for processing and recycling, supporting recovery and reuse of materials.
