Ruth John Paul became India’s first transgender postgraduate medical doctor

Dr. Koyyala Ruth John Paul cleared all subjects in the recently announced MD/MS exam results, completing her postgraduate degree (Emergency Medicine) at ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad (2023–26 session). The Hindu reports she is the first transgender person in India to complete a postgraduate medical course.
