GHMC approved redesign of KBR flyover project into unified elevated corridor

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) approved a redesign of the road project near KBR National Park, replacing the earlier plan of seven flyovers and seven underpasses with one continuous unified elevated corridor from Jubilee Hills Checkpost to NFCL Junction. GHMC said construction will proceed in two packages and that no new tenders will be called despite the design change, as the earlier contractor had already completed about 50% of work on the previous design; the sanctioned cost remains ₹1,090 crore.
