Centre approved L.B. Nagar–Hayathnagar double-decker elevated corridor in Hyderabad

The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways approved the L.B. Nagar–Hayathnagar double-decker elevated corridor in Hyderabad, according to The Hindu’s report of a meeting held on October 13, 2026. The same meeting also conveyed approvals for five ropeway projects in Telangana and three railway overbridges (ROBs) under the Setu Bandhan scheme.
Why it matters
Project approvals are a formal step that can enable detailed design and subsequent execution of new urban transport and connectivity infrastructure in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana.
