Amazon India started daily JPP-RCS parcel train service on Western Dedicated Freight Corridor

Amazon India began operations on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) via the Joint Parcel Product–Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS) train in partnership with DFCCIL and Indian Railways. The daily service (over 10 van parcels) was flagged off from New Dadri Railway Station on 2026-08-18, linking Delhi–Ahmedabad–Surat with onward connectivity to Pune, Mumbai and Goa, shifting some shipments from road to rail.
Why it matters
It adds a regular rail freight option on the WDFC for e-commerce parcel movement, potentially enabling faster and more predictable shipment flows across northern and western India while reducing reliance on surface transport.
