NCRTC signs PPA for 110 MW solar plant to supply power for Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat corridor

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) signed a power purchase agreement to procure electricity at a fixed tariff for 25 years from a 110 MW solar power plant planned in Jaulan, Uttar Pradesh. NCRTC said the plant is expected to be commissioned within 24 months and supply power via the Uttar Pradesh state grid to NCRTC substations in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi for distribution across the Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat corridor.
Why it matters
A long-term fixed-tariff solar supply could reduce the corridor’s operating electricity costs and lower reliance on conventionally generated power.
