Bhoomi pujan scheduled for Amul Bengal dairy processing plant at Howrah Food Park

PIB reported that a bhoomi pujan (foundation ceremony) is to be performed on 19 July 2026 for a curd production plant under the Amul Bengal Dairy Project, which Amul is setting up at Howrah Food Park, West Bengal, with an investment of about ₹700 crore. The release states the plant is planned to process around 30 lakh litres of milk per day and produce about 1,000 metric tonnes (10 lakh kg) of curd and other cultured dairy products daily upon completion.
