Western Carriers won bid to develop and operate general cargo terminal at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata

Western Carriers (India) has won the bid for the development and operation of the General Cargo Terminal (GCT) at the GCD Yard of the Kolkata Dock System, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (formerly Kolkata Port). The company said the terminal is already operational and that further development of the facility will be taken up to increase throughput capability and service offerings; initial civil-works cost was estimated by the port at ₹13.68 crore (subject to change).
